NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

THE ANNUAL REPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE 28 DAYS PRIOR TO THE AGM
IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE A HARD COPY OF THE REPORT, PLEASE CONTACT ADMINISTRATION

Notice of Annual General Meeting to be held on
Tuesday 20 March 2018 at 7.30pm
Exhibition Hall, Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds

The AGM is an opportunity for members to meet with the Committee and talk about how the Society should proceed in the future. An organisation such as ours relies upon its membership for support and partial help to present the Canning Show and other activities. Your attendance at the AGM will provide encouragement to move ahead.

Please note that we no longer automatically send out copies of the Annual Report and minutes of the AGM. These documents are now available on our website. If you request a hard copy we are happy to post one to you.

Incorporated associations are required to update their constitution to comply with the new law (the Associations Incorporation Act 2015) and have three years from 1 July 2016 to ensure their constitution has been updated.

The Society has spent some time to update it’s constitution and ensuring it’s rules comply with the new law.
The AGM is an opportunity for members and the Committee to discuss the Society’s new constitution.

THE DRAFT CONSTITUTION IS AVAILABLE HERE
IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE A HARD COPY, PLEASE CONTACT ADMINISTRATION

If you have items of general business you wish the meeting to consider, please contact me before the day of the meeting so that I can arrange the agenda.

If you are unable to attend, an apology will be recorded to show your continued interest in the Society.
Your attendance at this meeting is welcomed.

Dianne Begg
Chief Executive Officer

Welcome

The Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds is proudly owned and operated by the Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society. The Society exists to promote and develop agricultural and other cultural pursuits within the community. The buildings and premises are available for use to encourage public participation in all forms of recreation, arts, music and cultural affairs.

It is a pleasure to present details of the Make Smoking History Canning Show and welcome those who wish to showcase their skills and talent in one or many of the exhibition classes available. The Show also provides an opportunity for community groups, commerce and entertainers to promote their activities and business.
